Economic security and financial wellness cannot exist without systemic fairness. As financial advisors, reconciliation means reflecting on our industry’s role, supporting economic inclusion, and committing to meaningful action alongside Indigenous communities.

Listening is the first step toward building equity. Today, we wear orange, learn, and commit to a more inclusive future for all generations.

I'm taking a day out of my practice to talk to job seekers about a career in financial services. This week I met with a Registered Nurse who had moved to a management position. Her income increased but her group benefit disability coverage remained at a staff level. She "topped up" her protection with a personal disability policy so she could continue to afford her lifestyle.
