Happy Birthday Jessie-Anne!!

I realized I never shared photos from our adventure a couple weeks ago, so I thought what better time than on your birthday?

I have been so blessed to have you for a friend, and to have gotten to live close to you again these past few years! My move to Victoria would not have been the same without you!

I am so incredibly excited for you and the next season, new job and new town, but I’m also selfishly so sad to not get to see you every week (or several times every week sometimes).

But we’ll have to make time for more adventures like this still!!

I shaved my head 😳😅

I’ve always felt like shaving my head was something I wanted to do at some point in my life, but I’ve always felt too nervous to do it (yes, even as someone who changes my hair so often 😅). After my mom was diagnosed with cancer she made me promise I wouldn’t shave my head, so I know she’d hate this 😅😆 but I also know she’d love that I’m being brave (even if she didn’t understand why I’d do this to myself haha).

Hair is a big security blanket for me, even when it’s short I feel like it’s a big part of the way I express myself.

There’s something exciting and terrifying about stripping it away - I feel more vulnerable already.

I’ve also heard it said that hair holds memory, and to be honest the past year has been pretty brutal - so maybe this can act as somewhat of a fresh start.

So here’s to taking risks and doing something new and out of my comfort zone! Hopefully I don’t regret it 😅🙈 (I did have a big “what the **** did I do?!” moment this morning 😅 but I’m back to loving it again this afternoon haha)
