Today is officially Wear2Start Day in the City of Victoria!

As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we are incredibly honoured that Mayor Marianne Alto has proclaimed September 17, 2026, as Wear2Start Day.

For 25 years, Wear2Start has helped thousands of self-identified women feel confident, supported and empowered as they take the next step in their journey. This recognition belongs to every client who has trusted us, every volunteer who has shared their time and heart, every donor and funder who has believed in our work, and every community partner who has walked alongside us.

What began on September 17, 2001, has grown into something truly special, a community built on dignity, belonging and the belief that everyone deserves to feel confident in who they are and where they are going.

Today, we celebrate how far we have come, the incredible community that made it possible and the meaningful work still ahead.

The Wear2Start Winter Market is currently seeking exceptional vendors to join us.

Dates: November 14 & 15, 2026
Location: James Bay Community School Centre
Vendor Fee: $225 for a 2-Day Table
We are seeking:
Local makers and artisans
Small businesses
Women-led and gender-diverse-led enterprises
Community-minded entrepreneurs
This event offers a unique opportunity to connect, collaborate, and participate in a meaningful community initiative supporting Wear2Start programs.

! We're getting the boutique ready for winter! We're swapping out our light, breezy summer styles for warm and cozy winter pieces. If you've been waiting for the perfect time to donate your warm-weather clothes, it's here!

Join us at Project Reconnect! Wear2Start will be there on Tuesday, September 22nd, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Central Baptist Church, 833 Pandora Ave. A free services fair bringing downtown residents together.
