He was not a musician, not a producer, not a record label owner, but few people in the ska world have had as big an impact on the scene as Tim Receveur. Way back in 2015, I interviewed Tim for the now-dark website, Reggae Steady Ska. Rereading it today was hard, but I hope his words spark beautiful memories and provide some comfort to all who knew and loved him.

Deeply saddened by the news that Supernova co-founder Tim Receveur has passed away. What he and April have built goes far beyond music. It is an international community embracing a culture of love and inclusion to which I am proud and thankful to belong.
So sad. Tim Receveur, suddenly an ancestor. I am not ready. Supernova Alliance 2026 Supernova Ska Fest
