Did you know public libraries are funded and governed in part by our municipalities? Make sure you get informed on your local candidates, ask them if they use their library and other public services, and get out to vote! Election day is Wednesday, October 28, with advance voting available on various days in our municipal areas.

MP urges voters to get informed ahead of municipal election
"To the voters, I would say get informed about who is on the ballot and what they are on the ballot for, what they're proposing to do for your municipality. When we talk about “return on investment,” we’re asking a basic question: Do we get more out of something than we put in?
For libraries, the answer is yes!
Studies show that on average, every $1 invested in libraries creates about $5.38 in benefits for the community. That value comes from things like free learning resources, job help, technology access, and safe spaces for people of all ages.
Investing in libraries means investing in a stronger, more connected community.
