Double Tree Farms

Our young herdsman, Emily, concluded her 4-H career with achievements beyond what she could have imagined.

For the past three years, she has proudly exhibited some of our Lowline cattle. While our "little" cows often face tough competition against larger, more traditional breeds, Emily consistently earned positive feedback from judges. Their encouragement helped build her confidence and left her feeling proud of all she accomplished.

This year, Emily's goal was to take her entire herd to 4-H on Parade. She proudly showcased:

• Nova
• Ellison Rachel M1 & DT Corvette P7
• Silverhills Rozi 1L & DT Cherokee P6

Not only did she achieve that goal, but she also earned Reserve Grand Champion 3-Year-Old Pair with Silverhills Rozi 1L and DT Cherokee P6.

With her market lamb, Emily's goal was simple: give it her all and present her animal to the best of her ability. She did exactly that, earning Reserve Grand Champion Senior Showmanship and taking home her very first banner.

We couldn't be prouder of Emily's dedication, sportsmanship, and accomplishments throughout her 4-H journey. Congratulations on an incredible final year!

SilverHills Rozi produced us a nice little bull calf this afternoon. This is the first of two of the 4-H cows to calve.

On April 9th we had a tiny bull calf from Ellison Queenie 1L. He had a rough start and a nervous momma but we are doing good now

Tonight we had a huge heifer from Ellison Odelia J4.

He was up to find the milk bar in a very short time and bouncing around the barn before I got pens cleaned

Calving season is here! Started off with a cute little heifer out of Nichele

Over half way done calving and we got some black and red. All BOYS! Hopefully the next calves will be female.
