Hockey Season is almost here!

The Rustlers hit the road for our first preseason game in Vermilion on Saturday, October 10, before returning home to take on the Vermilion Rock Senior Hockey on Friday, October 16 at the Peace Memorial Multiplex!

We’re still looking to add a few players to the roster for the upcoming season. Practices are every Wednesday at 9:15pm. Interested in playing? Send us a message and come out for a skate!

Our regular season schedule will be released in the coming days, with league play getting underway the weekend of October 30!

Community Organization Awareness Night!

The Wainwright Rustlers were happy to take part in tonight’s Community Organization Awareness Night at the Peace Memorial Multiplex!

It was a great opportunity to connect with the community, talk some Rustlers hockey, and showcase what we have coming up this season, including our Evening with Clint Malarchuk on November 13!

A big thank you to the Town of Wainwright for organizing the evening and to all the local organizations who took the time to participate.

We’re proud to be part of this community and excited for another season of Rustlers hockey!

The dust has settled on another exciting World Professional Chuckwagon Association season, and our Coach Dustin Gorst finishes TOP 10 in the World Standings!

It was awesome watching Dustin represent Wainwright on the WPCA tour all summer. Dustin and his family are incredible ambassadors for our community and our team, and we were proud to cheer him on and support him throughout the season.

With the WPCA season wrapped up, hockey season is right around the corner and we’re excited to get the Rustlers back on the ice!

These skates are informal and intended for players interested in Rustlers hockey this season to get the rust off and work off the summer beverages.

Skates begin Wednesday, August 19 and continue every Wednesday from 9:15–10:15 p.m.

The Rustlers had a great time at the
KidSport Wainwright Tournament today at Riverdale!

A big shout-out to Bonnie Baird, who spent the afternoon handing out the world famous Rustler Jell-O shots and an assortment of tasty snacks. Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we were also able to collect $570 for Team Peyton! 🧡

Thank you to everyone who supported this great event, and another shout-out to Bob, Jen and Mike for selling 50/50 tickets throughout the day!

Thank you to Scott, Jaden, and the rest of their team, it takes an army of supporters and they do a great job!
