LCR-Reader
LCR-Readers provide LCR/ESR, Voltage, Frequency measurements, LED/Diode testing and Oscilloscope.
LCR-Reader is a handheld LCR and ESR meter in a lightweight device. When the gold plated tweezers are in contact with a surface mount device, LCR-Reader will automatically determine the type of component and best test range before measuring with a basic accuracy of 0.5%. The LCR-Reader saves time while working with SMT because it requires no set-up between measurements. When needed, the measurement mode can be selected manually with just a press of the navigation button. All measurement values, including the measurement mode, type of component, any secondary values such as an ESR value, and test measurement range are instantly available on the OLED display. Features on LCR-Reader include:
-Automatic and manual L, C, R and ESR measurements
-Basic accuracy of 0.5%
-Automatic best range selection
-1 oz. weight
-Hard-shelled carrying case
-Li-Ion battery with micro-USB charging
Siborg is now offering NIST Traceable Calibration Certificates when you order from the LCR-Reader Store! Please note that the device and the calibration certificate must be ordered together.

When resistance tests go wrong, it’s often because the test method is quietly adding error—especially when parasitics and lead/contact resistance get involved. This article breaks down two-wire versus four-wire resistance testing, so you can see exactly where the measurement bias comes from and when four-wire precision matters for production, repair, and lab work. With a professional workflow and traceable, calibratable measurements, you can validate components with confidence instead of guessing. If you work on SMD reliability or quality control, this is a must-read for tightening measurement integrity without slowing the line.

If your multimeter can’t reliably resolve tiny SMD components or document results with confidence, you’ll feel it fast on the line, in the lab, or in field service. This review breaks down what actually matters for professional work—measurement accuracy, low-C/low-L behavior, workflow speed, and calibration rigor—so you can separate real defects from “maybe” readings. It also puts portable LCR testing in context, explaining how purpose-built instruments like LCR-Reader (and Smart Tweezers®) help reduce bench clutter while improving repeatability. For anyone serious about measurement quality, this is a practical, engineering-first way to evaluate your next digital multimeter.

Automated Component Inspection that holds up isn’t just faster—it’s engineered to stay accurate when you’re measuring tiny SMD parts where parasitics can trick you. This article breaks down how LCR-Reader and Smart Tweezers® enable repeatable, traceably calibrated LCR checks with professional-grade performance, without the bench-instrument complexity. You’ll see how to separate suspect parts from good inventory and keep measurement data documented in real manufacturing and lab workflows. If you care about measurable superiority and validation you can stand behind, this one delivers.

When a PCB fault is hard to isolate, time is lost in guesswork—not measurement. This workflow lays out a disciplined PCB troubleshooting sequence to narrow the fault fast, account for parasitics, and validate suspect components with repeatable, traceable readings. With LCR-Reader-style direct component testing and Smart Tweezers® handling for tiny SMD targets, you can capture solid data while keeping the process portable and professional. If you’re optimizing repair and QC throughput without sacrificing engineering rigor, this is the troubleshooting playbook you’ll want in your routine.

How do you build trust into electronic test results—especially when you’re measuring tiny SMD parts with parasitics in play? This article breaks down what “earned trust” looks like in the real world: portable LCR and advanced measurement workflows that deliver repeatable, documented results and traceable calibration discipline without the bench-instrument footprint. It also explains how LCR-Reader and Smart Tweezers® are engineered for fast validation, clearer fault isolation, and measurable performance where typical tools fall short. If you care about accuracy you can defend in production, repair, or lab work, this one is worth your attention.

Unmarked SMD parts are a quality-control headache—until you can identify what’s there with measurement-grade confidence. In this article, you’ll learn a practical, accuracy-first workflow to pinpoint component values even when markings are missing, while accounting for real-world parasitics that can throw off casual readings. It also shows how pro instruments like LCR-Reader and Smart Tweezers® help you validate parts faster and with traceable-calibration rigor, so you’re not guessing during assembly, repair, or lab work. If you’re tired of slow manual verification or ambiguous results, this is the exact playbook you need.

Ever wonder why some PCB repairs fail even after you “test everything”? Analog Signature Analysis helps you go beyond basic continuity checks by matching a component’s real electrical behavior—capturing the subtle effects of parasitics that often hide the culprit on a board. With the right workflow, you can validate SMD parts faster, produce repeatable, documentable measurements, and reduce guesswork when inventory and failures look identical on paper. If you’re repairing, qualifying, or training others for precision PCB work, this article breaks down exactly how to analyze signatures for actionable defect isolation.
