Mikuni carb repair, purchased a used set of snowmobile carbs off marketplace for a Yamaha Vmax. I opened the bowl and found one of the float standoffs snapped off. With some very careful drilling, Jb marine weld and a small pin I managed to save it.
Basket case 1981 IT125 is together and running! Just have to button up some items. Fires up in one kick!

Thanks KW Honda for displaying our 1986 CR250R restoration project in your showroom! I hope it becomes a conversation piece with your customers walking in. Here is a side by side pic showing how much this bike has evolved in 39 years!

It’s finally completed! The 1986 CR250 has been fully restored to its former glory. Some last minute detailing and it’s off to KW Honda for display in their showroom.

Just finished a tuning session on the 86 CR250. Here's the plug I don't think I can get that any better. Still surges a bit at idle but with the Keihin PJ with no idle screw on the carb slide that's pretty hard to get rid of.
My son has his almighty YZ300X for sale. As Kaplan Cycles would say “Rip your house off the foundation!!” Reach out if you think you can handle this monster!
The 86 CR250 is alive! I don't know what is is about these HPP Honda engines, they sound so good! Now the final stages of assembly, this is going to be our best restoration to date! Stay tuned for more updates
