Campers will explore, create, problem-solve and bring their ideas to life through fun, hands-on activities.

👩‍🍳 We’re also offering a standalone Culinary Camp during both weeks for children who love getting creative in the kitchen!

Need a shorter camp day? Half-day options are available, along with before- and after-care for added convenience.

Before Minecraft, Mario, and Fortnite, there was… Tennis for Two! 🕹️
Created in 1958 by physicist William Higinbotham, Tennis for Two is widely recognized as one of the earliest video games ever created. It was built on an oscilloscope and displayed a simple tennis match — decades before video games became part of everyday life! 🤯

From those first pixels to today’s immersive worlds, video games have come a long way — combining technology, creativity, design, storytelling, and problem-solving. 💡🎮

At IDEA Lab Kids Pickering & Whitby, we believe that being part of a community means more than providing great experiences for children — it means showing up for our community in meaningful ways.

Throughout the year, we support our community through a variety of initiatives, partnerships and opportunities that help make a difference in the lives of children and families. This is the 3rd year that we’ve been honoured to support Nankind and the incredible families they serve.

Nankind is a Canadian charitable organization dedicated to supporting families affected by a parent’s cancer diagnosis. Their programs provide free childcare, meals, emotional support and specialized programs for children, helping families navigate the challenges of cancer while giving children opportunities to build resilience, connection and simply enjoy being kids.

Since 2024, we’ve donated camp spaces to children whose parents are living with cancer or who have experienced the loss of a parent to cancer.

For us, it was about more than a week at camp. It was about creating a space where children could laugh, explore, make friends, learn, create and just be kids during a time when their families may be facing incredibly difficult circumstances. ❤️

We are incredibly grateful to be able to contribute to the work Nankind is doing and to play a small part in bringing joy, connection and belonging to these children and families.

Thank you to the Nankind team for everything you do. Together, we can make a difference — one child, one family and one community at a time. 💗
