Generations 4 America

Is Birth on American Soil Enough?

The Fourteenth Amendment begins its Citizenship Clause with powerful words:

“All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens…”

Supporters of broad birthright citizenship argue that this establishes a simple principle: if you are born on American soil and are subject to American law, you are an American citizen.

In June, the U.S. Supreme Court agreed, holding that children born here to parents who are unlawfully or temporarily present are citizens at birth. The Court traced that principle to the historic rule of jus soli (citizenship by place of birth).

QUESTION FOR YOU:
Should citizenship at birth depend primarily on where the child is born, rather than the immigration status of the parents?

YES or NO — Birth in America should generally mean American citizenship or there must be limits to protect our country.
Tell us why—or why not—in the comments.

America's Story Is Worth Passing On

There is a growing effort to diminish the values that have made America a beacon of freedom. Too many young people are being taught that socialism is the better path and that America is defined only by its failures. While our nation has faced challenges throughout its history, it has also been a nation that continually strives to expand liberty, opportunity, and justice.

America is strong because our people value freedom, personal responsibility, faith, innovation, and the principles established by our Founding Fathers.

That is why I founded the Generations for America Foundation and created Color Across America. I believe the next generation deserves to learn about the founding principles, heroes, milestones, and history that shaped the United States into the nation it is today.

As we celebrate 250 years of American history, I invite you to sit down with your children and grandchildren, color together, and have meaningful conversations about the Constitution, our freedoms, and the men and women who built and defended this great nation.

🇺🇸 Happy 250th Birthday, America! 🇺🇸

Today, we celebrate 250 years of freedom, opportunity, resilience, and hope.

America’s story is one of courage, sacrifice, and people from every background coming together to build something greater than themselves. As we honor this historic milestone, we also recognize the everyday heroes, our veterans, first responders, educators, volunteers, and community leaders, who continue to strengthen our nation.

At Generations for America, we believe that when we invest in people, serve our communities, and inspire future generations, we build a stronger America for everyone.

No matter where our journey began, we are united by the values of freedom, service, and the opportunity to create a better future together.
