Just swapped out an 80k furnace that was maxing out on temperature rise for a properly matched 60k unit in this ~2,000 sq ft Whitby home. The old system was fighting undersized ductwork the whole time.

What we did: ✅ Shifted the furnace 4” + relocated the gas piping for a cleaner install
✅ Yanked the restrictive 1” filter and installed a 5” media air cleaner

✅ Added a dedicated fresh-air intake from outdoors (no more pulling combustion air from the same room as the natural-draft water heater)

✅ Checked manifold pressures & temp rise — the new 60k is running right where it should

🔧 Black Iron > CSST 🔧

Just wrapped up another gas line upgrade for a customer who wanted a reliable BBQ and gas stove setup.

We completely removed the old CSST and replaced it with properly cut and threaded black iron pipe. The customer preferred to keep the work exterior (no drywall repairs), so we ran a clean, well-supported black iron line along the brick.

Why we prefer black iron when the situation allows:
• Stronger and more durable long-term
• No concerns about punctures or kinking
• Traditional threaded connections that stand the test of time
• Excellent choice for exterior runs

CSST has its place, but when a customer wants rock-solid reliability, cutting and threading black iron is hard to beat.
