October is , a time to recognize the programs and people that help individuals live safely, independently, and with dignity in their own homes and communities.
To kickoff Community Support Month, we’re celebrating Meals on Wheels Week, a service that delivers so much more than a nutritious meal. For many clients, Meals on Wheels provides a friendly visit, a wellness check, and an important connection to the community.
At Community Care Durham, we're proud of the dedicated volunteers and staff who help ensure local residents receive healthy meals and caring support when they need it most.
This week, we’re having local elected representatives join us in delivering meals. Today we’d like to thank Rhonda Kirkland, Willie WOO 4 You and Mayor Adrian Foster, and Vote.JimLee and BobforOshawa. Also, Marilyn for Mayor, Councillor Rob Tyler Morin.
