Trying to get more of me on the screen, show you who I am. But it's hard. Spent so much of my life being told I'm too much that I lost my words and get shy about sharing my spoken thoughts. I'm hoping by doing this more, it will help me find my voice again. I love the weird, the wonder, the wild. It's all locked away in my somewhere. Maybe we can find it together?
Ok, ok last spider thing! I promise! (For now. 😅)
Now don't hate me. I'm actually hugely against AI, but my hubby made this song as a gift for me and I couldn't help but smile. ^_^ Usually he doesn't share them. It's a private thing he does for his own silly enjoyment, but he made an exception for this.
So I thought I'd use it to share all the spooders who have passed through our house, from current and past pets to surprise house guests.
Did you know that you can give spiders a drink of water with a wet Qtip or wet cotton ball? ^_^ And they will be grateful as many house spiders are dehydrate (which is why many show up in bathrooms and kitchens looking for water!)
That tour I promised! ^_^

Spider Side Questing Pt. 2!!! You can tell I'm not used to this video format. Now I'm understanding all the "part" videos.
What can I say, this is me now? 😅 Anyways, happy side questing. *lol* I'll show the art later. 😜

Almost done playing catch up. It has been a month! Mom came for a 1 month stay to be here for 2 kids birthdays, brought her pup with her (cat's dealt with but did not approve). Add a dash of doctor appointments, a backyard overhaul, back to school, a colonoscopy, and finally mom left last Thursday and I've been scrambling to get the house back in order from all the chaos.
So can't wait to get back in my art room tomorrow! What should I start with? Woodburning? Birds? Felting? Painting? More shiny beaded things? Maybe try some clay stuff? Play with paper stars? What do you think? 🎨🧶🪡✨️✏️🔗🔥⭐️

Sorry for the crickets! Been spending time with kids and my mom is here visiting. But I'll be back soon!
Just need to get through this week of plans with my mom and kids starting school and appointments and my youngest's birthday next week, then things will settle a bit and I can give some better updates!
In the meantime, today I learned, grasshoppers like cat food. 🤯 Found this little guy nibbling away at a piece of it on my kitchen floor! Must have gotten in during the hustle and bustle of preparing for the yard and fence guys that arrived today. Who knew!?

Someone asked, do you sell these in single strands? Now I do! Been making up lots of single strand Happy Shiny Dangly Things since last Friday. The 3 feathered ones as Summerfolk Special as the feathers were collected from Kelso beach.
Though the shiny blue duck feather was found by a crew of very helpful kiddos who spent a lot of time in our booth on the weekend. They saw I was working with a feather I had found and decided I needed more and took off in the rain and came back with that beautiful (and a bunch others!)
So add a little sparkly to you home or window! (Inside only as the wire can rust after time)
