Yesterday, I had to cancel today’s show because of a family emergency. I had already accepted that I wouldn’t be there for Brighton Applefest.

Then Jessica called.

She didn’t ask what she could do. She didn’t wait for me to ask her for help. She simply decided she was going to show up for me.

She started packing whatever she could fit into her small vehicle, loaded up my hats, and headed to Brighton.

I never asked her to do this. I never expected her to do this. She just did.

And today, because of her, Contagious Designs Canada is still there. It’s not my usual big display, but there are hats there and other goodies, and my little business is represented.

Unfortunately, due to an unexpected family emergency, I will no longer be attending the event this Saturday. I’m sorry to anyone who was planning to come see me there, and I truly appreciate your understanding during this difficult time. ❤️

I love this life. Creating with my hands, getting lost in the process, and loving every moment of it.
