The Amaran F22c is a 2x2 foot light that folds flat. It's a 200W RGBWW mat at CRI 95+, and the bare panel is soft enough on its own that plenty of people never bother with the included softbox. Where it earns its keep is tight spaces. Tape it to a ceiling or bend it around a doorframe, and it'll light an interview in a small office where a softbox on a stand has nowhere to go. The control box sits up to 6 metres off on the cables that come with it, so the fan stays away from your mic. Full 200W wants AC or a 26V V-mount; a 14.4V battery runs it at roughly half. Batteries rent separately.

The LS 600c Pro II is the biggest light we keep on the shelf. It's a 600W RGBWW COB on a Bowens mount, and with the Hyper Reflector that comes in the case it puts out 91,500 lux at a metre, which is what lets it hold up against daylight coming through a window. The lamp head is IP54 rated so dust and a bit of rain won't bother it. The control box isn't rated, so that one stays dry. The 7.5m head cable is the part people don't expect to like: you can rig the head high in a shop or an arena and leave the box and the battery down where you can actually reach them. No V-mount battery in the case, that's a separate line on your quote.

The Hollyland Mars 400S PRO sends 1080p60 from your camera to a monitor, recorder or switcher up to 400 ft away with about 0.1s of latency. SDI and HDMI on both the transmitter and receiver, so you can go into it SDI and out to an HDMI monitor. Up to four phones can watch the feed on the Hollyview app, and one transmitter can feed two receivers. Handy for weddings, multi-cam events and anything running into our ATEM Mini Pro.

The Atomos Ninja V hangs off your camera's HDMI and records 4K ProRes, ProRes RAW or DNxHR to SSD, skipping the camera's internal compression. The 5" screen runs 1000 nits, so it stays readable outside, with false colour, focus peaking, waveform and LUT preview for Log footage. Works as a monitor only if you would rather not record to it. It's a colour negative stock known for its skin tones and forgiving latitude, which makes it a sensible pick for weddings, portraits and travel where the light keeps shifting on you.
