Can your old brow work be covered?

Sometimes! Old brows can often be colour-corrected and refreshed, and powder brows are usually the best technique for covering previous work.

For a successful cover-up:

• The old pigment should be faded by approximately 70%
• The existing shape must be workable
• The thinner the old work, the more flexibility I have to improve the shape

If your heart is set on nano machine hairstrokes, laser removal is usually the best first step. Nano strokes don’t heal as crisp or natural when placed over visible pigment.

Trust me—I’ve tried working over old brows before. But I no longer feel it’s worth compromising my results or displaying my work over another artist’s work.

✨ Annual refreshes aren’t always necessary! ✨

Permanent makeup should enhance—not replace—your everyday makeup. I prefer clients to wait until their pigment has faded by approximately 70% before adding more.

Refreshing too soon can lead to oversaturated, dark or ashy results and eventually require removal. Keeping it soft and conservative protects the skin and allows for beautiful refreshes every few years—not automatically every year.

Sometimes the best touch-up is simply waiting. 🤎

✨ Lip Neutralization Correction✨

This beauty came to me after having her first session done elsewhere, which left behind some uneven dark patches.

For this session, we focused on carefully targeting those darker areas while neutralizing and brightening the lips overall for a softer, more even result. 💋

The colour is fresh and will soften beautifully as it heals. Full healing effects are about 12wks for Neutralization.

Some people may experience swelling after the procedure, which is normal and should subside within a few hours.

Lip neutralization is a process, and multiple sessions may be needed to achieve the best results.

✨ NANO BLADING VS. NANO MACHINE HAIR STROKES ✨

Although the names sound similar, these techniques work very differently!

Nano Blading uses a manual handheld tool—similar to traditional microblading—to creates cuts into the skin and deposits pigment. The Nano blade consists of a smaller diameter in needles than traditional microblades, allowing the artist to create thinner strokes.

Nano Machine Hair Strokes are created with a PMU machine and a single needle that moves rapidly in and out of the skin. The pigment is implanted as tiny pixels that overlap to build soft, realistic hair strokes—without making cuts in the skin.
