Love reading? Want to give back to your community? Become a Book Buddy volunteer at the Windsor Public Library and help children build confidence, literacy skills, and a love for reading.
• Only 1 hour a week for 6 months
• Counts towards community service hours
• Support children ages 6–11
• Flexible and meaningful volunteer experience
• Available at all WPL branches

📖 Attention Parents!

If your child could use some help with reading, they may benefit from the Book Buddy program.

Available to children who have started grade one, and haven’t yet turned twelve, who need to feel good about reading. Your child will enjoy one-on-one reading with a volunteer and engage in fun activities and a variety of reading materials!

Parent/guardian must be present during sessions.

On this episode of Stories of Windsor, we welcome CJ Scott, a local genealogist and owner of Full Circle Genealogy (www.full-circle-genealogy.com). CJ is a graduate of the International Institute of Genealogical Studies and holds a Certificate in Canadian Records, and DNA and Genetic Genealogy. She is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG) Canadian Chapter, the Essex Branch Ontario Ancestors, the Canadian Vietnam Veterans Memorial Association, and the Royal Canadian Legion (255).



Since 2022, CJ has been part of the Be Counted Project. The project’s goal is to count every Canadian Citizen that enlisted with the US Forces during the Vietnam War Generation (1959-1975).

Celebrate International Dog Day at Central library! Meet a therapy dog from St. John's Ambulance, and stay for dog-themed storytime and colouring and activity sheets afterward. This is an all ages program. Registration is required and limited, so please register as soon as possible. 🐾🐶
