Together we remember 💜

August is Overdose Awareness Month. 💜
Throughout this month, we’ll be sharing the voices of our staff, community partners, peers, volunteers, and service users as we recognize Overdose Awareness Month and International Overdose Awareness Day.
We’ve invited members of our community to reflect on what overdose awareness means to them - whether it’s a message of hope, a personal story, words of encouragement, or a tribute to someone they’ve lost.
By sharing these voices, we hope to honour those we’ve lost, support those who continue to grieve, reduce stigma, and remind our community that every life matters.
We invite you to follow along throughout the month as we amplify these stories and reflections. Together, we can create space for remembrance, compassion, hope, and action.

📣 Come Meet Our Peer Engagement Community!
Join us for our TTOA Peer Engagement Fair on Friday, August 7, from 2:00–4:30 PM at Pozitive Pathways Community Services!
Whether you're interested in joining a peer program, curious about what we offer, or looking for information to share with a friend, family member, or someone in the community, you're welcome.
Come meet our peers, ask questions, enjoy some food, and learn more about our programs and the connections they create.
Come as you are. We'd love to meet you! 🤗

For 2SGBTQ+? people, coming out doesn’t come with instructions.
No roadmap. No trusted adult pulling you aside to explain s*x, relationships, health, or how to find your place in the world. That’s why the *xualhealthalliance developed the closest thing to an official guide for guys who have s*x with guys.
Alongside the re-freshed GMSH.ca website, the campaign shares real stories from community members about the things they wish someone had told them earlier, from HIV prevention and testing, to body image, loneliness, belonging, and finding support without judgment.
Because people deserve more than fear, shame, and misinformation. They deserve honest, affirming, evidence-based information grounded in lived experience.
So if no one ever told you, we will (with love) 💜
