For SO LONG I wanted to be a homsteader. l saw myself living on a farm...
🐓 raising chickens,
🥖 baking sourdough,
🌱 planting a garden
🍓 and making jam.

But like so many dreams - I kept waiting for “someday”

Until finally I thought…I can do this (or at least some of this) without ACTUALLY moving to a farm.

Most things didn’t go as planned (if you saw Sourdough Chronicles 1 and 2 - you know what I mean🤦‍♀️ ) But what it did teach me?
is that you CAN give yourself permission to try.

Even if it’s not 100% as you imagined - trying something you’ve always wanted to do is inspiring!

I promise the ideas aren’t as half-baked as my sourdough was 😆

Give things an expiry date.. and watch what happens.
It’s not just the ranch dressing…if you don't use it anymore, it's expired too.

Things like your old tech (like that ipod nano you can’t seem to toss), the mystery cords, the manuals (for appliances you no longer own), and anything else you haven't used in years.

We tend to hang on to clothes because of what we PAID for them, not because they actually add value to our lives.

And believe me, I get it -
it’s hard to toss something you spent “good money on”

But the money’s already been spent, so the real question isn’t "How much did this cost?"

It's, "How much is it WORTH to me today?" and that one mindset shift can make decluttering your closet so much easier. ❤️

If you understand these 2 things - it’ll save you oodles when you’re organizing your home:

1. Your NATURAL organizing style - that’ll help you figure out the TYPE of products you need
(eg. Macro organizer? You need big containers WITHOUT lids.
Micro organizer? look for smaller containers with lids so you can stack.

2. Measurements of the space
Now I know we all think we can wing it😉 ( me included) but that never works out well.

Taking a few mins to take measurements will make shopping waaaaay easier AND you can be sure you’ve got the right stuff!

Keeping these 2 things in mind will save you money AND time! 💕
