As Canadians mark the arrival of Fall, our friends in Paraguay mark the arrival of Spring, and on September 21, schools paused to celebrate Youth Day. All students in grades 7 through 12 from the four schools we partner with met at Yeshua School. The day began with a devotional and worship, then students rotated through game stations, competing for the most points.
Exactly one year ago, nine students from La Amistad School in Paraguay, along with two of their teachers and the school's founders, travelled to Canada. They performed 16 times in BC, Manitoba and Ontario. Did you get to one of our concerts?

After 16 years away, La Albirroja is back at the FIFA World Cup. 🇵🇾
And the kids at our schools in Paraguay? They are ready.
These children grow up in poverty, in the same neighborhoods that produced players like Miguel Almirón -- a boy who grew up poor in Asunción, who shared a bed with his mother until he was 18, who was told he was too frail to ever make it, and who is now playing on the world's biggest stage.
When they cheer for Paraguay, they are cheering for themselves.
