A badge scan is not the same thing as a qualified lead.

It feels great to leave a show with 150 names in a CSV, but how many are actually worth a sales follow-up?

The real value is the conversation context: role, intent, timeline, authority, and level of interest.

If that gets lost, sales are left guessing. The goal should not be more badges. It should be knowing who matters and what to say next.

We’re excited to see Sukuma Avery in action next week, June 24, as he represents iQor at Customer Contact Week. If you’re attending, stop by booth 433 and say hello!

A crowded booth does not always mean a successful booth.

If your strategy is built around giveaways, raffles, and freebies, you may be optimizing for people stopping, not people moving forward.

After they stop, are they watching a demo, having a qualified sales conversation, or taking the first few steps of the customer buying journey?

Don’t just measure booth traffic. Measure booth progression.

Excited to represent Ultimo at the Reliable Plant Conference 2026.

Looking forward to bringing energy, clarity, and engagement to the show floor.

One of the biggest wastes on a trade show floor is not an empty booth. It’s when opportunity is standing right in front of you and nothing happens. A great booth location with no engagement is wasted traffic. A long line for coffee, coconut water, or giveaways with no qualification is wasted attention. A warm prospect with a real question but no available subject matter expert is wasted intent.

Trade show ROI improves when exhibitors stop thinking only about how to attract people and start thinking about what happens next, because traffic alone doesn’t build pipeline. The booth journey does.

A busy booth can look exciting from the aisle. But if the crowd is only there for the giveaway, the coffee, or the prize wheel, that traffic may not turn into much after the show.

The real goal is not just to attract more people. The goal is to attract attention, earn a few meaningful moments, and create enough interest for the right attendees to take the next step.

Booth traffic is not the same as pipeline.

If you own the event budget, don’t just optimize for attraction. Optimize for the conversion between attention and action.

That is where trade show ROI starts to show up.

Events and marketing teams can create the perfect stage, but ROI is only realized when booth staff actively engage attendees and turn conversations into opportunities.

Every trade show is an alley-oop: the event team sets up the play, and the sales team finishes it.

Professionalism, energy, and meaningful interactions at the booth can make the difference between wasted spend and a strong pipeline.

When trade show costs go up, your booth activation has to punch above its weight.

It can’t just get people to stop. It has to earn more time, create a stronger conversation, and move attendees toward a deeper booth journey.

Because a busy booth only matters if those stops turn into real opportunities.
