Orange Shirts are available for purchase at the Campus Stores at NDC and EDC. Every shirt sold supports the Mínwastánikéwin Truth and Reconciliation Award, which is awarded to an Indigenous student every January.

Indigenous Student Supports is opening its doors across three RRC Polytech campuses! Drop in to meet the team, learn about available services and connect with fellow students in a welcoming environment. Enjoy refreshments and enter to win an Orange Shirt or grocery gift cards!

RRC Polytech recently welcomed Dr. Alejandro Adem, President of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) to its Notre Dame Campus for a first-hand look at how federal investments in Manitoba’s applied research ecosystem are fueling real‑world impact.

A productive day of facility tours, demonstrations, presentations, and discussions showcased RRC Polytech’s collaborative approach that connects small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with cost-effective, problem-solving experts and government support from NSERC and other funding agencies to drive economic growth across all sectors.

Dr. Adem’s visit celebrated the shared momentum created by RRC Polytech turning NSERC investments into progress – new technologies, stronger companies, safer communities and career pathways – and provided inspiration for what comes next.

Yesterday, the RRC Polytech community came together with partners from the Government of Manitoba to celebrate a significant investment in new American Sign Language (ASL) training opportunities for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Manitobans.

The Manitoba government is providing a total of $146,000 through the Mino’Ayaawag Ikwewag: All Women Doing Well strategy to support the initiative. The funding includes $18,000 for the development and delivery of three ASL micro credentials providing ASL education directly on reserve, and $128,000 over three years to fund four seats specifically for Indigenous women in RRC Polytech’s existing ASL-English Interpretation program.

From the classroom to one of Winnipeg’s biggest arts events!

This spring, 15 RRC Polytech students from Animation, Digital Media Design, and Communications Design explored projection mapping through a hands-on workshop led by French artist Jules Camille Huvig and Winnipeg artist Julie Gendron. Their immersive digital storytelling projects will be showcased at Nuit Blanche Winnipeg, transforming the walls of St. Boniface Cathedral into a canvas for creativity.
