Basel feels like an oven 🔥 but our Cafe doesn't! 😎

🌬️ It's naturally a comfortable 23–24°C in our ecofriendly building, with no need for air conditioning.

🛝 We have a large indoor playroom with no entrance fee (just a CHF 10 minimum consumption).

🍦 We serve delicious artisan ice cream, ice latte macchiatos and plenty of refreshing drinks.

Skip the playground in the blazing sun and spend a cool, enjoyable moment with us instead 😊

Welcome to our Mother’s Day Brunch, lovingly hosted by The Magical Cafe in partnership with BCT, to celebrate your special day. Come and join us for a warm and welcoming celebration for families to come together and honour the amazing mothers and caregivers in our community. Bring your mom, grandma or anyone who deserves some extra love and tasty treats. Let’s make this Mother’s Day unforgettable together!

Guests can enjoy a delicious brunch in a relaxed, family-friendly setting, while children take part in light activities and creative craft moments designed to make the day extra special. The event offers a chance to connect with other families, build friendships and create meaningful memories together. At its heart, this gathering reflects our shared mission of supporting families, strengthening community bonds and celebrating the people who make a difference every day.

All mothers, grandmothers and caregivers attending will be treated to a special gift on the day, because today is all about celebrating you and everything you do.

⏰ New Spring–Summer Opening Hours

Many parents who work told us they wished they could visit the café later in the afternoon, so this season, we’re adapting.

From now on, and throughout the spring–summer period, we’ll be testing a later opening on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Perfect to stop by after school or daycare ☺️

We’ll adjust if needed based on your feedback. Thank you for helping us shape the Magical Cafe around what works best for your family!

Our first aid course for baby & child emergencies is back. A calm, confidence‑building space where parents learn the skills they hope they’ll never need, but are grateful to have!
