“The Isolation Room” at Age 20… and the Challenge of Decoding Emotions from Age 12
1. A profound reflection on overthinking among young adults
Last week, MyEQ had the honor of partnering with Dr. Dang Thi Quynh Anh and the Student Association of the Faculty of Finance at Ho Chi Minh City Banking University (HUB) to organize the specialized seminar: “Overthinking: Inside Your Mind.”
The event inspired deep reflection through the presence and teachings of the founders of the SCT Foundation (Switzerland) and the UCM Teaching and Research Center, Professor Francis L. Kaya and Professor Christiane Muller. For the first time, hundreds of university students were introduced to the multidimensional approach of Symbolic Language and Emotional Intelligence.
Some of the “inner codes” explored during the seminar:
💧 Water and Emotions
More than 60% of the human body is made of water. In Symbolic Language, water represents the flow of emotions. Emotional Intelligence is about bringing awareness and wisdom into our emotions so that this flow does not become blocked but instead becomes a powerful force for making wise decisions and achieving authentic success in every area of life.
🧠 The “Inner ChatGPT”
Each of us possesses an extraordinary living computer within. It stores our memories, thoughts, emotions, and actions. Learning how to access and clear this inner database allows us to connect with the wisest version of ourselves.
🚪 Breaking Out of the “Isolation Room”
Christiane Muller highlighted a common psychological pattern among young people: locking themselves inside an emotional “isolation room.” Because of painful or disappointing experiences, we close inner doors, suppress emotions, and become trapped in cycles of overthinking.
🌟 The Law of Resonance
Even when we do not express them, our thoughts and emotions continue to radiate outward and are subtly perceived by those around us.
⸻
2. From the University Classroom to the Reality of Adolescence
As we listened to the students’ concerns, one reality became increasingly clear: overthinking and emotional isolation do not suddenly appear at age 20.
They are often the result of emotions that have accumulated over many years without being identified, understood, or expressed during adolescence (ages 10 to 18). When a teenager closes their bedroom door and stops communicating with their parents, they may already be building their own “isolation room.”
Rather than allowing young people to carry these emotional burdens into adulthood, parents can equip them with practical tools to understand themselves and navigate life more confidently.
🌱 MyEQ’s AtoE Summer Online Journey (Decoding Emotions), designed for youth ages 7 to 18, helps participants develop:
A – Awareness
Understanding the emotional flow within themselves so they are not overwhelmed by anger, anxiety, or fear. They learn how to transform and direct their emotions toward genuine happiness and fulfillment.
B – Balance
Learning how to access their “inner computer” and transform negative thought patterns that fuel overthinking.
C – Courage
Breaking the bubble of isolation, reconnecting with family, building self-confidence, and learning to make decisions with the presence and confidence of a true leader.
Sometimes, the greatest legacy parents can leave their children is not material wealth, but the ability to understand themselves, master their emotions, and move forward with confidence.
👉 Parents are invited to send the keyword “ATOE” via private message to MyEQ to receive personalized guidance on the summer program best suited to their child’s age and emotional needs.
MyEQ extends its heartfelt gratitude to the professors and students of HUB for their warm welcome. We wish you continued success in applying Emotional Intelligence to your studies, careers, relationships, and daily lives.

A Compass for Guiding Young People to Build Their Future with Confidence
On the morning of June 10, at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF), two international experts and founders of the non-profit organizations UCM and SCT, Professor Francis L. Kaya and Professor Christiane Muller, led an inspiring and thought-provoking discussion with students. They were joined by Ms. Phan Linh, psychologist, lecturer, and Director of MyEQ Center and UCM Vietnam.
The theme, “Finding Direction for the Future: Moving Beyond Confusion and Discovering the Right Path,” highlighted a concerning reality: many young adults enter their twenties feeling uncertain, disoriented, and lacking a genuine understanding of themselves.
According to the experts, this feeling of uncertainty when facing important life choices is extremely common. However, the deeper issue is that many young people have never been given the tools needed to understand and accept these emotions as a natural part of the learning process and the development of personal qualities. This involves exploring their interests, clarifying their values and priorities, and learning how to observe themselves and reflect on their emotions in relation to collective resonance.
For the first time, UEF students became aware that they are not merely scrolling through hundreds or even thousands of emotionally charged messages each day that subtly influence their thoughts and unconscious decisions. They also gained a clearer understanding of the collective dimension of the network of information and relationships that continuously interweaves personal life, education, and career development.
Professor Kaya encouraged students, regardless of their year of study, to begin today by creating a plan that includes a list of twenty companies within their field of interest where they would like to work. The more clearly a person puts their reflections on paper, the easier it becomes to understand why certain professional environments are attractive to them and how these are connected to their interests, strengths, and the areas they still wish to improve within themselves.
The application of the Law of Resonance, illustrated through university life and the visualization of a future work environment—including relationships with managers, colleagues, and collaborators—provided valuable insights for everyone involved in supporting young people.
The feeling of “confusion” at the threshold of adulthood does not appear spontaneously. It is often the result of an adolescence—or even a childhood—during which a genuine emotional compass was missing. When the questions, pressures, and inner challenges experienced between the ages of 10 and 18 are not listened to, recognized, and properly supported, young people may carry a sense of disconnection or uncertainty into adulthood.
Conversely, when children learn from an early age to observe themselves, recognize their strengths, and manage their emotions, they gradually develop the confidence needed to build their future without fearing academic or social pressures. The greatest gift we can offer young people is not to prepare a ready-made path for them, but rather to provide them with the ability to find their own direction, along with a space where they can experiment, measure, adjust, and develop their own abilities.
On this occasion, MyEQ offered five individual psychological consultation sessions, along with valuable support opportunities for UEF students who may need assistance. These services are provided by a team of emotional intelligence specialists who have been trained over several years by Professors Kaya and Christiane Muller according to internationally recognized standards and certified in their field.
We sincerely thank the faculty members, leadership team of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF), the students who attended, as well as every member of the MyEQ team and the volunteers who helped sow the seeds of emotional intelligence within the university environment and contribute to building our collective future.

✨ From Confusion to Clarity: The Untold Story of MYEQ Emotional Intelligence at Foreign Trade University
Can you believe that within just a few minutes, some of the most dynamic students at Foreign Trade University in Hanoi voluntarily closed their laptops, sat up straight, and listened attentively to a talk about Emotional Intelligence (EQ)?
This powerful moment took place on the morning of May 20, 2026, during the conference “Future Orientation: From Uncertainty to Finding the Right Path,” held in Hall H.
This event was far more than an ordinary lecture. It became a living demonstration of the power of EQ in shaping future generations — from young people aged 7 to 18 participating in the online summer program “Decoding Emotions” AtoE: From Awareness to Emotional Mastery… to university students standing at the threshold of adulthood.
The program was created through a strategic collaboration between The Source Code Technology – SCT Foundation (Switzerland), MYEQ Center, and the Institute of International Economics and Business.
The presence of SCT founders, experts Kaya and Christiane, alongside MYEQ India directors, brought an international dimension to the event, affirming the global importance of Emotional Intelligence.
The warm and sincere presence of Dr. Nguyễn Thị Việt Hoa — Vice Director of the Institute of International Economics and Business — together with professors Bến and Thanh, and nearly 50 students, reflected a profound love for applied knowledge and human development.
🔑 A transformation: from “this seems mandatory” to “the joy of discovery”
At first, the atmosphere resembled many other conferences. During the first fifteen minutes, several students remained focused on their laptops or phones, sitting casually as though attending a “required session.”
Then something remarkable happened.
Students slowly straightened their posture, their eyes lit up, and one by one, laptops began to close. The room filled with laughter and engagement as the international speakers, using simple, relatable, and youth-oriented language, touched on the deeper concerns of today’s generation.
Professor Bến, who attended the event, shared emotionally:
“In the past, we never had the opportunity to learn through programs like this. It is truly a gift for young people to discover EQ so early. In many other events, students often walk in and out or lose focus, but here, I did not witness any of that.”
Students naturally embraced the teachings because they directly addressed real-life questions:
how to communicate,
how to choose the right people to walk beside us,
how to prioritize what truly matters in life…
Everything revolved around one central message:
the true purpose of life is the development of human qualities.
💙 MYEQ: Building future generations through Emotional Intelligence

✨ 70.21% of teachers experience significant pressure from parents.
✨ 40% have considered leaving the profession.
✨ 77% experience symptoms related to mental health stress.
These numbers presented at Trần Phú High School in Vietnam are not just statistics. They reflect the silent reality experienced by so many teachers who dedicate their lives to guiding and educating future generations.
On May 22, 2026, more than 100 teachers gathered with MYEQ India experts, Professor Santhosh and Professor Haritha, to better understand the emotional tensions and pressures experienced daily in the world of education.
Through the expressions, reflections, and presence of the teachers, we could feel:
💛 the deep dedication of experienced educators,
💛 the pressure faced by young teachers beginning their careers,
💛 the sincere desire to better connect with Gen Z and Gen Alpha students.
A deeply touching moment unfolded when the entire room closed their eyes together to practice breathing exercises and an Intention meditation session. Gradually, the tensions accumulated in the body and mind began to soften… making space for calmness, inner listening, and a renewed sense of peace.
When teachers learn how to better manage emotions, the classroom becomes a safer, more inspiring, and more human environment. When parents better understand the emotional reality of their children, the home can once again become a true place of love, dialogue, and trust.
The blockages between Parents × Students × Teachers often do not come from a lack of love… but from a lack of a shared emotional language.
Emotional Intelligence (EQ) helps open that door.
🌱 This summer can become a beautiful opportunity to rebuild bridges, ease emotional tensions, and create a brighter new beginning for families, teachers, and children alike.

✨ A beautiful gathering around Emotional Intelligence at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology 🇻🇳✨
While young people between the ages of 7 and 18 experience concerns related to their stage of life, university students often face many important challenges: uncertainty about the future, social pressure, external expectations, and the rapid changes of modern society.
These realities can easily lead to procrastination, emotional exhaustion, and a loss of direction.
To support students during this important stage of life and help them transform pressure into motivation and personal growth, the Student Affairs Department of the Hanoi University of Science and Technology collaborated with MYEQ Center to organize the conference:
✨ “Future Orientation: Moving Beyond Uncertainty and Finding the Right Path” ✨
This program is part of a tour of experiential Emotional Intelligence (EQ) conferences presented in schools, organizations, and hospitals, guided by international EQ specialists.
Here are a few real moments captured during this beautiful morning on Friday, May 22, 2026, at the C2 Auditorium of the Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
The program had the honor of welcoming internationally recognized Emotional Intelligence specialists:
🌿 Prof. Kaya
🌿 Prof. Christiane
🌿 Prof. Santhosh
🌿 Prof. Haritha
Throughout this experience, students explored scientific and practical approaches to:
✔️ Understand and overcome social pressure and external expectations
✔️ Restore greater inner balance through mindfulness and centering exercises
✔️ Discover their strengths and potential through Energy Mapping and Symbolic Language
✔️ Build a clearer and more aligned vision for their future
At MYEQ and UCM, we deeply believe that by developing Emotional Intelligence, every human being can learn to transform worries into awareness, challenges into learning experiences, and dreams into meaningful projects 🌍✨

✨ “We will remember this deeply touching moment in this orphanage for a very long time…” – Kaya & Christiane Muller ✨
On the evening of May 20th, 2026, representatives of the Hữu Nghị Đống Đa Children’s Care Center in Hanoi (Hữu Nghị Home), together with Ms. Thơ — Vice Director — received special gifts made possible through the support of Source Code Technology (SCT Switzerland), the MYEQ Vietnam Center, and Vivo Kids Singapore.
The gifts included 50 copies of the *Inner Journey Journal* along with a series of Emotional Intelligence (EQ) training programs designed to help children develop their emotional intelligence. Present at the event were the two founders of SCT Switzerland, experts Francis L. Kaya and Christiane Muller, the two directors of MyEQ India, Santosh and Haritha Nayak, as well as the MyEQ Vietnam team and invited volunteers.
In addition to these educational gifts — helping each child develop 28 practical ways of thinking and life skills through the journal — the children also experienced an inspiring lesson on emotional intelligence through the Plus Minus Code (+ | -) educational program.
At first, the children were a little shy while analyzing the first images presented to them. But very quickly, they learned to accurately recognize the emotions hidden beneath appearances. Their initial reserve gradually transformed into enthusiasm, focus, and lively participation.
They discovered a wide variety of emotional nuances illustrated by the teachers: body postures, rhythmic movements, sad or melancholic expressions, and even more intense and combative attitudes. The children were able to correctly identify and name the emotions expressed by each teacher.
One especially touching moment happened after the main program, when a student asked Kaya to help interpret a dream he had shortly before finishing his school exams. Through the interpretation of this dream, he and the other children were introduced to what Vietnamese ancestors referred to as the four fundamental elements that form all things: Earth × Water × Fire × Air, along with their symbolic meanings associated with Action × Emotion × Energy × Thought… helping him better understand the overall message of his dream.
The 60 minutes passed incredibly fast…
As everyone was preparing to leave, the young boy from the dream quietly approached Kaya. Leaning toward him, Kaya softly said:
“Make your decisions based on the positive points. If you continue doing that, your life will become positive.”
Then the boy turned toward Christiane and gently touched her fingers as if wanting to shake her hand. His shy and heartfelt words of gratitude were deeply moving:
“Thank you for coming to help us…”
It was the sign that a new seed of knowledge had just begun to grow.
In July, a new series of workshops on advanced Emotional Intelligence themes will be offered on-site by the teachers of MyEQ Vietnam, with the support of Vivo Kids Singapore, which specifically provided a donation so that the Plus Minus Code program could be shared within this orphanage.
