Every journey with illness is unique. For Jean-François, everything changed when he decided to take a more holistic approach to his life.

Rather than focusing all his energy on what he couldn’t control, he chose to take action on what was within his reach: taking care of his health every day.

🥗 Nutrition
🧠 Psychological support, particularly through the Simonton Method

An approach that helped him regain balance, live better with his illness, and take a more active role in his own health journey.

In this interview, Luigi openly shares his personal journey and experience with care. 💙

Over the years, he has benefited from the most advanced treatments available for his condition. Along the way, he also discovered the importance of a holistic approach:
🥗 a balanced and adapted diet,
🧠 psychological support,
👨‍⚕️ and following the guidance of his oncologist.

✨ Because improving quality of life is also an essential part of the care journey.

His story reminds us that every patient can, at their own pace, find ways to live better with their condition.

💬 What about you? What habits or daily practices contribute to your well-being?

30% of people experience their first neuroendocrine cancer symptom before the age of 50.

Behind this statistic are patients whose symptoms may be overlooked or misunderstood. Raising awareness, improving access to reliable information and listening to patients are essential to supporting earlier recognition and better care.

Let’s make every symptom count. 💙

"Born from one conviction: no patient should face their journey without the information and support they need." - James Nagelmackers -

Vince Hamilton, an American businessman based in Geneva, witnessed these unmet needs firsthand. Together with his wife, Mona, he founded the Victory NET Foundation to empower patients through knowledge, connection and advocacy.

Invisible symptoms can have life-changing consequences.

Neuroendocrine cancer is often called the "invisible cancer" because its symptoms are frequently vague, affect multiple body systems and are often mistaken for more common conditions. As a result, many people spend months - or even years - searching for answers.

By the time a diagnosis is made, more than half of patients have cancer that has already spread. This can mean fewer treatment options, more complex care and a greater physical and emotional burden.

Beyond the medical impact, delayed diagnosis can lead to:

💙 Living with uncertainty and anxiety
💙 Feeling unheard or dismissed
💙 Reduced quality of life and independence
💙 Ongoing hospital visits and long-term monitoring

Raising awareness is one of the most powerful ways to change this reality. Earlier recognition of symptoms can lead to earlier diagnosis, better outcomes, and improved quality of life.

Together, we can help make the invisible visible.

"The hardest part is the uncertainty - not knowing how much time I have or what tomorrow may bring. It affects every decision I make.
But being supported, truly listened to and treated as a person - not just a diagnosis - has helped me shift my focus from fear to living as fully as possible.
Every day, I'm learning what it means to live well." - Melanie Lucas

💙 Taking care of your mental health is an essential part of cancer care.

A cancer diagnosis, treatment, or changes in your condition can bring many emotions - fear, anxiety, sadness or simply feeling overwhelmed. These feelings are completely normal.

Psycho-oncology support provides a safe space where patients and their loved ones can express their emotions, develop coping strategies and receive guidance throughout their cancer journey.

You don't have to wait until things feel unbearable to ask for help. Reaching out for support is a sign of strength and it can make a meaningful difference to your well-being and quality of life.

At Victory Net Foundation, we believe that mental health deserves the same care and attention as physical health. No one should face cancer alone. 💙
