The Technical Support Unit of the Working Group I (WGI) based at Gif-sur-Yvette, France is seeking a Graphic Designer to support the development of information graphics, data visualization, and the process of approving the report.

This entry level position requires strong graphic design skills, proficiency in English, experience creating information graphics, and data visualization.

The report from IPCC’s Workshop on Methods of Assessment is now available to read online.

Each assessment cycle the IPCC assesses thousands of scientific, technical and socio-economic papers. Part of this literature has been exponentially expanding and there is as much new literature to assess every cycle as had ever been produced previously. In parallel, there is growing interest in assessing other forms of knowledge (local, practitioner, Indigenous).

To address these challenges, the IPCC organised a Workshop on Methods of Assessment covering: artificial intelligence (including but not limited to generative AI); systematic reviews of scientific and grey literature and other forms of knowledge; and the coverage of literature reporting on the findings of ex-post evaluations of policy interventions relevant for climate change.

El Niño is strengthening, and months of extreme weather could follow.

The climate pattern is expected to become very strong and persist through February 2027, bringing increased risks of extreme heat, floods and drought across the globe.
