Golden hour and blue carbon rims just hit different… 😮‍💨

From race cars to energy technology.⚡️ We had the opportunity to visit our long-time partner Hitachi for a day of exchange and insights into their work.

After learning more about Hitachi and the career opportunities within the company, we got a look behind the scenes during a factory tour. We also presented Zurich UAS Racing and exchanged perspectives with their management on our team and project. 🏎️

Our results from Formula Student France 🇫🇷

A challenging event, but also some results we’re proud to take home:

⚙️ Engineering Design: 7th
💰 Cost & Manufacturing: 16th
🥉 Business Plan Presentation: 3rd
🏁 Overall: 16th

Especially our 3rd place in Business Plan was a great way to finish the static events this season! And together with the Best Spirit Award, FS France gave us a few moments to remember. 💛

Now it’s time to take all the feedback and learnings and put them into the next car. 🏎️

Season wrap-up: Lyon highs & lessons learned 🏁
Round two in France marked our final race of the season. After weeks of prep, we headed to Lyon - only to hit a snag during technical inspection: a pouch cell issue forced us to retire the affected stack for safety. No similar damage was found elsewhere, but it meant we couldn’t continue in the dynamic disciplines🚗❌.

Off-track, the statics delivered: strong presentations in Cost & Manufacturing, Engineering Design, and Business Plan, plus valuable jury feedback. Highlights? 3rd place in Business Plan and the «Best Team Spirit» Award!✨

No racing? Then we find another way to make FS France count. 💛

Once it became clear that we would not be able to continue in the dynamic competition, we changed shifted our focus. Instead of packing up, we used the remaining days to prepare for the next season.

Our Mechanics Team reviewed this year’s designs, the Electrics Team used scrutineering to train the next generation of Team Leads, and we spent plenty of time exchanging knowledge with other teams, working on the next car and supporting our dear friends from Rennschmiede Pforzheim.

There is more to Formula Student than what happens on track. 📊⚙️

While our technical issues prevented us from competing in the dynamic disciplines at Formula Student France, we still had a full schedule ahead with the upcoming static events.

Across Engineering Design, Cost & Manufacturing and Business Plan Presentation, we had the opportunity to present our work, discuss our decisions with the judges and collect valuable feedback.

Especially with the next season already approaching, these discussions give us plenty to take back to Winterthur. There is still a lot to improve — and we already know where to start. 🏎️
