ZHAW - ReDSim Flight Simulator

The Research and Development Flight Simulator is a fully reconfigurable system conceived for didactic and research activities. Designed with a modern business jet in mind, it can easily be adapted to simulate any type of aircraft - literally at the push of a button - and is capable of simulating a variety of different flight conditions, failures and emergencies. In addition to the big task of building an entirely new full flight simulator, the simulation group of the ZAV is also building an entirely new engineering group. This means developing the know how, the procedures and methods to study and realize aircraft mathematical models that are able to represent the flight dynamics in a range wider than the usual simulators. This work includes producing guidelines and engineering documents, templates for the math modeling and developing a process that is every day faster to creating the math model of a plane.
