Ephedra: Valley Of The Shepherd Hirten, Schafe und orchestraler Stoner Metal.

"The quote "You can put a guy out of his homeland, but you can´t put out the homeland of the guy" fits perfectly to Ephedra - and also to their compatriots of Eluveitie: both bands create music which reflects the Swiss mountains and landscapes."

here a little part of it:

Now now, I know what you’re thinking: “But Kirk! I listen to stoner rock to ‘turn up, tune in, and drop out’, not be reminded of the many existential horrors of the world around me through modern compositions and……PROG!”. Be chill, my dudes and dudettes, trust and believe that Mirjam Skal’s orchestrations will not only enhance your mellow, they’ll maximize it. Her contributions to this album add elements of space rock that Ephedra haven’t toyed with before…AND THEY WORK. This album shifts back and forth from dreamy space rock to fist-pumping stoner riffs so seamlessly that you won’t even notice you’ve already done two laps around the solar system without even braking a sweat. And it’s a trip you’ll want to take again and again and again..

Like we mentioned in earlier posts, all songs on our new album "valley of the shepherd" are inspired by a made-up story about a shepherd, his dog, his flock of sheep and their experiences full of ups and downs...

With this "extensive information" 😉 about the songs and the story we got in touch with wonderful and talented mirjam skal - her orchestral contribution to our songs just leaves us speechless and with . 🫢 😮
