Did you know? The Base of the Towers Trek is one of Patagonia’s most iconic hiking challenges.

Spanning about 22 km through the Ascencio Valley, native lenga forest, mountain streams, and a steep, rocky moraine, the trail leads to the famous viewpoint beneath the three granite towers of Torres del Paine.

The route climbs more than 1,000 meters, reaching approximately 897 m / 2,943 ft at its highest point.

After about 8–10 hours of hiking, the reward is one of the most unforgettable landscapes in Chilean Patagonia: the Towers rising above a glacial lagoon in the heart of Torres del Paine National Park.

In all our Torres del Paine Trek programs, the Base of the Towers is part of the itinerary.

¿Sabías que el trekking a la Base de las Torres es uno de los desafíos de senderismo más emblemáticos de la Patagonia?
La ruta recorre aproximadamente 22 km a través del valle del Ascencio, de bosques nativos de lenga, de arroyos de montaña y de una empinada morrena rocosa, hasta llegar al famoso mirador frente a las tres torres de granito de Torres del Paine.

El sendero acumula más de 1.000 metros de ascenso y alcanza una altitud máxima aproximada de 897 m.

Después de entre 8 y 10 horas de caminata, la recompensa es uno de los paisajes más inolvidables de la Patagonia chilena: las Torres elevándose sobre una laguna glaciar, en el corazón del Parque Nacional Torres del Paine.
