8 weeks ago, a room full of strangers sat down and told us they wanted to become developers.

On Friday, that same room said goodbye as a community of coders.
The Future Coders Bootcamp has officially wrapped, and what an 8 weeks it has been. We watched students go from their first "hello world" to building real projects, debugging late into the night, and pushing each other through every challenge we threw at them (yes, including Speed Code and its brutal elimination rounds).

What stood out most wasn't just the code. It was the togetherness. The late-night study groups. The teammates who stayed back to help someone else finish their assignment. The quiet pride in every "it finally works!"

To every student who showed up, put in the hours, and trusted the process: this is your win. You didn't just learn to code; you built discipline, resilience, and a network that will carry you well beyond this bootcamp.

To our facilitators and mentors, Deshnic Nkwenti Zelio Gerald, who poured their time and expertise into this cohort: thank you for showing up for these students every single day.

After a full day of pitching, debugging, and racing the clock — one team stood out.
Congratulations to Group C, champions of Dev Challenge 2026!

They took on "Reinvent Douala's Ride," built an AI-powered solution under real pressure, and outworked every other team in the room to take the win.
Their prize: 30,000 XAF cash + official CodingHQ t-shirts.

To every team that showed up, debugged under pressure, and kept going when the code refused to cooperate, you're the reason Dev Challenge exists. This is just the beginning.

Douala's ride is being reimagined, one bootcamp at a time.

Yesterday at Dev Challenge 2026, we gave our bootcamp participants one mission: Reinvent Douala's Ride. One condition: AI had to be part of the solution.

Then the room came alive. Ideas pitched. Teams debated. Bugs appeared, bugs vanished. Some teams flew. Others fought for their lives with their code.

Lunch happened. Laptops closed, laughter took over, everyone recharged.

Then it was back to work, the clock never stopped.

What stood out wasn't just what they built. It was the energy, the collaboration, the refusal to quit when things broke.

That's exactly what Dev Challenge is for:

Real problems. Real pressure. Real collaboration. Real solutions.

Yesterday, they didn't just code. They started reimagining how Douala moves.

CodeConnect 2026 is officially open, and this year we're raising the bar.
The theme is Engineering Done Right.

This is not another motivational event or "believe in yourself" type of thing.
Two days built around the people actually writing and shipping production code: senior engineers, mid-level developers, and the founders and builders working alongside them.

Day 1 is the engineering conference: deep dives into systems that scale, security as a foundation, not a feature, and what it actually takes to go from code to production.

Day 2 is Builders Connect: structured, intentional conversations and making more connections.

CodeConnect 2026 — Engineering Done Right 28–29 November 2026 · Day 1 at Krystal Palace, Akwa · presented by CodingHQ.

It is a brand-new week, and as per our normal routine, we have a presentation every Monday where our future coders show what they built over the weekend based on what they learned the previous week. Today was fun, with plenty of uhms too.

We started the week strong with weekend project presentations from the participants. Kudos to all those who presented; they did a good job with the exercise.
