When I was learning to become a beautician, my madam had one rule that nobody dared to ignore: come early and take your work seriously.👊🏽

There were no excuses. If work started at 8:00 a.m., you had to be there before then, ready to clean, organize the salon, and prepare for the day’s clients. We understood that before you could master beauty, you first had to master discipline.🥲

At the time, we complained. We thought she was too strict. But today, I look back and realize she wasn’t just teaching us how to braid hair, style wigs, or do makeup. She was building our character, work ethic, and professionalism.❤️

Those lessons have stayed with me throughout my career, and they’ve helped me serve clients with patience and love that lead to professionalism.

Sometimes I look at today’s generation and wonder🙆🏽

Have times really changed, or have we changed? Many young people want quick success without embracing the discipline, patience, and consistency that make success last.

Remember if you have skill and you dont balance it with good character then you go nowhere.

Skills can be taught, but attitude is a choice.

Mindset is one of the biggest factors that determines how far a beautician will go. Skills can get you started, but your mindset keeps you growing, learning, and succeeding.

If your mindset is not positive, know that you will not be able to create, learn, or improve your skills.

A beautician’s hands create beauty, but their mindset creates a career. You can create but if your mindset is not positive you go nowhere.

The way you think influences the way you serve, grow, and lead in the beauty industry.

Every day we have waste materials like market bags, onion bags, groundnut peels, and wrought merchandise from the salon. What do we do with all of these?

One answer is “trash them.”

But at Ramiims we don't trash we recycle these into something useful. Artistic hairstyles and recycled wear.

We believe epic movies, music videos, runway shows, photoshoots, and beauty events can be better places to carry and wear these.

If we trash something it means there is no way it can be recycled.

Sometimes, we don’t realize how much we have grown until we pause and look back at the journey.

When I first became part of the Panache Expo, I never imagined how much it would shape me, not just as a beautician, but as a person. I’ve learned that determination can take you places you once thought were beyond your reach. I’ve learned to face challenges with confidence, work as part of a team, and keep pushing even when the task seems impossible.

You see these 2 here the president Mr Ekie Walters Ngalle and the vice president Mr Tony Awah they will push you to learn, to pick up tasks and do them even when you think you cannot. They will take you places to meet people.

They asked me to be part of the team that presented the Panache Expo 2026 Honorary Awards. It wasn’t just about handing over awards; it was about meeting remarkable people, listening to their stories, and learning from their journeys.

Among those special moments was presenting an honorary award to Dr. Nkeng Stephens a man I have worked with and learned a lot from working with him. He has taught me that true professionalism is not only about getting the job done but also about doing it with excellence, humility, timeliness, and a digital approach to putting things together.

To the entire Panache Expo team, thank you for believing in me and giving me opportunities that continue to help me get the best of me and improve the person I am.
