Chengdu is a sub-provincial city which has served as capital of China's Sichuan province. It is now one of the most important economic, financial, commercial, cultural, transportation, and communication centers in Western China. Chengdu is the host city of the 31st summer edition of the FISU World University Games and The World Games 2025. It is the third city in China to have two international airports. Chengdu also hosts over 4000 foreign-invested enterprises and 23 consulates. More than 300 Fortune 500 companies have established branches in Chengdu.

Winding through Jiezi Ancient Town in Chongzhou, Chengdu, the Weijiang River flows clear and cool, carrying with it a crisp breeze. This is what August should be like — no rushing all around, just slowly daydreaming. Hidden in the town’s narrow alleyways are delicacies: cold noodles, ice jelly, fried cakes, sesame cookies, etc. Around every corner, surprises await. Red lanterns hang beneath blue-tiled roofs and bougainvillea peek out above walls — turning every casual snapshot into a movie still.
