Exploring the tension between maximum impact and subliminal experimentation, Fedele presents an uncompromising vision of modernist mechanical music. Drawing inspiration from the captivating sound modulation of electro, the motorik drive of techno, and the complex emotional expression rooted in his training as a cellist, his sound is dynamic, accomplished, and completely occupies its own space within the scene. Hailing from Bari in southern Italy, Fedele's career has so far embraced every aspect of the global dance music structure, but his focus has always been on originality and sincerity. From a young local DJ playing hip-hop, R&B, and soul, on a journey of discovery during the peak years of minimal techno expansion, to his position as an established international artist, music has always come first. His initial steps as an active participant in the techno scene came with the creation of "Agents Of Time" – a trio dedicated to live performances using hardware instruments, releasing records for Jennifer Cardini's "Correspondant" label, Maceo Plex's "Ellum Audio," "Curle Recordings," and their own label "Obscura." In a natural evolution, Fedele forged his path away from the group, releasing his first solo works for Tiga's "Turbo" label and maintaining "Obscura" as a platform for his own productions and those of like-minded souls who share his creative vision. While "Obscura" continues to evolve as a label, Fedele expands the possibilities within his work, maintaining close ties with "Plex" and "Ellum Audio," cultivating his experimental electro tendencies as "Sharp Felon," and engaging in soundtrack work for Alessandro Piva's documentary "10YearsOn." The heart of his practice remains an intuitive connection to hardware-based production and performance – an explicit extension of his heart and soul transmitted through circuits and cables and emanating from the speakers. It's noteworthy that some of his numerous B2B experiences include titans and pioneers such as Miss Kittin and DJ Hell – artists whose sound resonates with Fedele's, but more importantly, those who have paved their ways and set the tone for significant movements in electronic dance music. As this caliber of artist leaves a mark through conviction, individuality, and perseverance, Fedele is doing the same.
