A piece of land minutes from the Limassol motorway sat empty for decades.
Verengaria village was built in the 1950s to house British forces families. After the site closed, the houses stayed standing. By the time the state moved to clear them, the buildings held asbestos and had filled with rodents and snakes. Demolition needed an environmental study first.
So while the rest of Limassol built upwards, that land did nothing.
It is doing something now. A €125m university campus expansion. A €56m student residence with close to 500 rooms. A private academy expected in 2027. A 52,000 sq m park on the municipality's plans. And our project ZOIA nearby with amazing investment opportunities.
Two of those are funded and moving. Three are still plans held by other people. We wrote the article to separate them, and explain our involvement in the development of the area.
