To have met Andreas Karayan was to witness a life lived with a certain insistence: that art can open space where there was none, that visibility is not given but made; sometimes against the grain. His work carved out room for q***r presence, for complexity, for ways of living and seeing that do not always fit the terms offered to them. In doing so, he left a lasting mark on the art history of Cyprus, defying erasure.
We are grateful to have shared time, words, and space with him. š¤
