The Eyes That Survived 2,500 Years 🇬🇷
Have you ever looked into eyes created nearly 2,500 years ago? 👁️🇬🇷
These remarkably lifelike eyes belong to the Charioteer of Delphi, a bronze masterpiece created around 470 BCE. Its glass, stone, and copper details still give the statue an almost living presence.
Once part of a grand victory monument, the Charioteer survived because it was buried and protected underground for centuries. Today, his calm expression remains a powerful symbol of discipline, dignity, and the extraordinary artistry of ancient Greece.
