🇬🇧 LOU KOLLER / SICK OF IT ALL TRIBUTE – STEP DOWN

Lou Koller and Sick Of It All have been one of the fundamental building blocks of our relationship with music, but also with the values we stand for and why we do what we do. Even if it might not always sound like it musically, this history is deeply reflected in our music, especially in our lyrics, where we often refer back to Sick Of It All.

We wanted to say thank you and pay tribute in the only way we really know how, so we decided to play the legendary STEP DOWN at SPPV.

The recording was cutting out a bit, so hopefully Lou will forgive the imperfections we couldn’t time to fix.

Quite a few people came up to us after the set saying that this moment actually brought them to tears. And we’re really glad we got to celebrate and remember all of this together, in the most fun way we could.

Lou Koller a Sick Of It All byli jedním ze zásadních stavebních kamenů našeho vztahu k hudbě, ale i k hodnotám, které zastáváme a proč vlastně děláme to, co děláme. I když to hudebně nemusí být vždycky na první pohled slyšet, tahle historie se hodně odráží v naší tvorbě, hlavně v textech, kde se na Sick Of It All často odvoláváme.

Chtěli jsme Louovi poděkovat a vzdát mu hold alespoň touhle formou, a tak jsme se rozhodli, že na SPPV zahrajeme legendární STEP DOWN.

Trochu nám vypadávalo nahrávání, tak snad nám Lou odpustí ty nedokonalosti, které jsme už nestihli odladit.

Docela hodně lidí za náma po setu přišlo a říkalo, že je tahle chvíle našeho setu dokonce rozbrečela. A my jsme rádi, že jsme si tohle mohli všichni společně oslavit a zavzpomínat na tohle všechno takovou zábavnou formou.

🇨🇿 summer punk party volyně byl absolutní peak. ve tři odpoledne a 34 stupních jsme fakt nečekali to, co se stalo. my jsme do toho dali všechno a rozhodně se nám to totálně vrátilo.

stagecrowdy, moshpity a neuvěřitelně vykoupenej merch během pár hodin. máme nový ultra oblíbený místo.

🇬🇧 summer punk party volyně was an absolute peak. 3pm and 34 degrees, we really didn’t expect what happened. we gave it everything and it definitely came right back at us.

stagecrowds, moshpits and merch completely sold out within a few hours. we got a new ultra favorite spot.

It’s been a week since we released our new song “face the truth”.

Music has always been a huge part of our lives. We are working musicians, and the truth is that we don’t spend much time studying algorithms, chasing trends, or pushing our music everywhere. We don’t run ads.

Our priority has always been creating the best songs and the best sound we possibly can.

“face the truth” was recorded, mixed, and mastered completely DIY — with nothing but our passion, time, and obsession with making it sound right.
