SoundSpace Systems

Hifi Knights exceptional review on SoundSpace Systems Rossignol loudspeakers

For most of Marek Dyba‘s audiophile/music lover life, he stayed away from semi-active loudspeakers, mainly because most of them do not offer a truly coherent performance. The SoundSpace Systems Rossignol, however, completely changed his perspective: „These are some of the best speakers I’ve ever listened to, and the very best I’ve ever reviewed.“ Marek praises Soundspace Systems approach of choosing the best drivers for each part of the range and combining them into a coherent whole: “worked incredibly well, and I would even say that he outdid himself.”

The combination of carefully selected drivers, sophisticated DSP and amplification works incredibly well. The magnetostatic tweeter delivers stunning clarity, energy, richness and openness, while the four 12-inch woofers per channel, powered by two powerful Class D amplifiers, produce thunderous yet perfectly controlled bass.

But the real highlight is the field-coil midrange – with outstanding resolution, clarity and precision, combined with a remarkable smoothness and richness. It is this particular design choice that ultimately turns the Rossignol into such a remarkable performer.

The loudspeakers high sensitivity is another major advantage, allowing them to be paired with virtually any high-quality amplifier – solid-state, tube, hybrid or even low-output single-ended designs.

And despite their size, the Rossignol loudspeakers simply disappear into the room, leaving the listener alone with the music. They perform beautifully even in rooms from around 25–30 sqm, while giving them more space allows the bass and overall presentation to truly spread their wings.

The conclusion is clear: if you are looking for cost-no-object loudspeakers, the SoundSpace Systems Rossignol deserves your attention.
