Cicadas Rhyme

This is how visual rhymes are born!
Cicadas Rhyme is a free online improvisation game that consists in creating visual rhymes through the extemporary use of materials, objects and shapes, using a video call. Cicadas Rhyme aims to create a shared time/space frame for a group of people who are in different parts of the world, in particular spaces and at different times of the day. Within the virtual context of the video call the collective action develops, mainly based on improvisation and the performative/visual sensitivity of each participant. By synchronizing their actions, the members of the group try to find a common rhythm as a visual result of their meeting, like in a constantly changing still life. The principle is not far from that of an online jam session, but here the rhythm, returns and synchronisation are based on shapes, colours and position in space.
