One month or so on from its release i just wanted to thank NX1 and UVB for this amazing addition to Pure Hate Trax.

This EP was one for the Techno purists and was actually one of the easiest releases so far to work on, which was nice, especially after the sleepless nights involved with the 5th anniversary records :)

DJ feedback has been amazing, and is still coming in daily, as is also the love and support from customers and supporters alike, which makes it all worthwhile.

Its always nice when releases appeal to different DJs, crowds, groups and so on. Generally artist labels are a representation of their own styles and tastes, I never wanted the label purely to be about one genre/sub genre and it definitely reflects my own music collection, influences and records i buy.

The label has some great records coming over the next year and Im really excited to share the next one with you soon.

Fractured - 10yrs of STRISC. is now officially out across all platforms including Bandcamp.

The album title ‘Fractured’ is very apt, and is also a word Id use to describe the scene, my position in it and where i felt mentally making this album.

All the tracks and more were made during a difficult period for me where i went from being a very active person in general to literally confined to my apartment for four months recovering from a fracture to my fibula, which took way longer than expected to heal.

For the first time in a while i had space without the pressures of my day job and other life stuff to breathe and think about where i fit in to things, if anywhere, and where i want to go with my music. I’ve always felt a bit in the middle in terms of sound and styles, maybe too much for popular Techno trends and also not enough for the harder styles, and in that respect its hard to stay focused especially when trends are changing so quick all the time now. I can also honestly say i have never tried to make music that i think other people will like, maybe that sounds stupid to some but for me that just feels completely soulless, I can only be myself and that’s what I will continue to be, whether 1 or 1 million people like what i do.

I didn’t even realise it had been 10 years making music as STRISC. when i was working on these tracks, but when i did, it also felt like it aligned perfectly with everything else that lead me to this point, and the right time to release this body of music altogether as an Album.

It was also an absolute pleasure working with Thethirdkind.digital on the design for this one, she nailed every aspect. Big shout as always to Grieche for the mastering, i highly recommend both respectively.

Anyway, all the tracks are now available to stream or download and I appreciate all the support and on this release and even the last 10 years.
