Somebody (I’m not gonna name any names) mistook the abundance of green lily pads for luscious green grass and jumped very eagerly into a pond trying to take a closer look at the swans. 🦢 Shower anyone?

There’s not a lot I miss about Japan, not because it wasn’t beautiful or delicious or joyful but because it didn’t feel like home. I do miss the floor being a primary surface, both in the home and in public. I find more comfort and quiet in sitting on tatami or wooden floors getting ready, eating and reading. Maybe it’s because I feel closer to Idonea or because my limbs don’t really enjoy sitting on chairs anyway.
What can I say, she has my eyes…
