BEHIND ITS LABEL // Full Trailer
For many, Japan is a place of myths.
And the label „Made in Japan“ has become a symbol of quality around the world.
But the truth isn’t found in the myths.
It’s found in the people — individuals just like you and me, with ideas, values, and an uncompromising commitment to creating products they truly believe in.
This is their story.

The only thing more natural than Fox Cotton is the urge to wear these every day.
https://statement-store.com/collections/studio-dartisan
Originally designed for U.S. Army bakers in the 1940s, Baker Pants have long since graduated from the bakery to everyday life. Turns out carrying flour and carrying your daily essentials requires pretty much the same amount of pocket space.
StudioD’artisan reimagines this military classic in 12oz Fox Cotton herringbone twill, developed by Sally Fox (Sally Fox) using naturally colored cotton varieties that don’t need a single drop of dye.
Sometimes nature really does know best.

Naked & Famous Denim Maekake Dobby: Because your jeans deserve an indigo plus one!
https://statement-store.com/collections/naked-famous
Inspired by traditional Japanese maekake work aprons—once worn by sake brewers, shopkeepers, and craftsmen—the Maekake Dobby Chore Coat brings that same hardworking spirit into a modern layering piece.
Woven from richly textured 12.2oz Japanese dobby fabric, it catches the light, ages with character, and pairs so naturally with your favorite denim that you’ll wonder why your jeans ever went out alone.

Belt happens!
Your jeans deserve the best company.
https://statement-store.com/collections/barnes-moore
It took a Japanese tannery, a renowned English leather workshop and a brass foundry with nearly two centuries of history to make this belt.
Cut from 4.5mm thick full-grain Tochigi roughout leather, this exclusive x Statement Roller Beltcombines one of Japan’s most respected leathers with traditional English craftsmanship.
The vegetable-tanned leather is carefully developed through more than 20 production stages, creating exceptional depth, character and the ability to develop a unique patina over time. The solid brass buckle is made using a historic sand-casting process, preserving a craft that has remained unchanged for generations.
Turns out making a belt the old-fashioned way takes a ridiculous amount of time.
And that’s exactly why we love it.
Exclusive to Statement. Limited quantities.

If Bauhaus ever designed denim, it might have looked something like this.
https://statement-store.com/collections/motivmfg
We can’t say for certain what a Bauhaus trouser would look like. But we imagine it would be built around proportion, function, and material rather than decoration.
Which sounds suspiciously close to what MotivMfg does in Beijing.
The Pleat Denim Trousers combine a sculptural four-pleat silhouette with MotivMfg’s proprietary herringbone selvedge denim, woven on a restored 1950s dobby loom. Historical inspiration, modern ex*****on, and just enough texture to make fabric nerds slightly unbearable at dinner.
Less ornament. More obsession.

Just out here serving looks.
The OrSlow fatigue shirt was built for all-terrain duty, but it seems most at home on city sidewalks.
https://statement-store.com/collections/orslow
A faithful take on the classic 1960s U.S. Army fatigue shirt, crafted from orSlow’s proprietary Reverse Sateen fabric. Soft, durable, and designed to develop a unique patina over time.
Two oversized chest pockets, a relaxed fit, and enough military heritage to make your daily coffee run feel vaguely mission-critical.

The fastest way to become disappointed by your entire T-shirt drawer.
https://statement-store.com/collections/the-strike-gold
We’d apologize, but it turns out that loopwheeling heavyweight cotton on vintage Tsuriami machines in Wakayama creates standards your other T-shirts simply weren’t prepared for.
Because once you’ve experienced what happens when speed isn’t part of the manufacturing process, it’s hard to look at a regular T-shirt the same way again.
The STRIKE GOLD standard. Your other T-shirts never stood a chance.

The summer chino for denim people.
https://statement-store.com/collections/deluxeware-dalees-co
Not every warm-weather trouser has to look the part.
DELUXEWARE‘s 946A takes the easy comfort of a summer chino and gives it the character of vintage denim. Cut from an 11oz painter denim woven in Okayama, it feels surprisingly light and soft while retaining all the depth and texture that make indigo worth wearing in the first place.
Inspired by military trousers but far from a reproduction, the 946A combines a clean straight fit, thoughtful construction details, and fabric that only gets better with time. Built in Deluxeware’s own factory in Akita on vintage Union Special machines, it’s the kind of piece that quietly earns its place in your rotation.
For those who prefer indigo, even when the temperature disagrees.
