The WAREHOUSE & Co. Lot 1008 1947 MW Pre-Rodeo Jeans recreate a remarkably rare 1947 prototype — a Western jean caught somewhere between workwear and rodeo.
Seven belt loops. Rounded rivets to keep your saddle happy. A Western coin pocket. Elongated back pockets. Decorative stitching. And 13.5oz left-hand twill denim made from a three-state blend of American cotton.
In other words: not quite a five-pocket jean, not quite a rodeo jean — but already pretty sure where it was going.
Our version has been rinsed at Statement Store, taking the initial shrinkage out of the equation and giving the denim a softer, more comfortable feel from the first wear.
Made for urban cowboys, perhaps. But if you’re betting on denim, you’d better bet on the right horse.

The Merz b. Schwanen Burel Wool Jacket is where German design takes a trip to the Portuguese mountains — and comes back rather well dressed.
The 100% Portuguese wool comes from sheep roaming freely in the Serra da Estrela. It is woven into traditional Burel on 19th-century looms at Burel Factory, then fulled and finished by hand.
13.3oz of dense, warm wool with a surprisingly refined feel. The chore-jacket silhouette keeps its workwear roots intact, while the clean cut, corozo buttons, and beautifully structured fabric give it a distinctly more elegant character.
After a year-long absence, it has finally made its way back — looking rather good, and, for once, in all sizes.

What happens when a 1930s French Army officer’s trousers get a Japanese makeover? prequel goes back to the original — literally.
The 6.5oz Summer Oxford was recreated from an original pair of 1930s trousers, with different slub yarns in warp and weft to reproduce the dry texture and irregular character of the vintage fabric.
A relaxed silhouette, slanted front pockets, Tagua palm nut buttons and that unmistakable rear cinch back complete the officer’s uniform — minus the orders.
Just one word of caution: white trousers and chocolate ice cream rarely make good company.

In a fast-paced, globalized world of fragmented supply chains, imagine a product conceived and made from start to finish within a 300-kilometer radius.
How good can it really be? Is it simply idealism?
Samurai Jeans had a revolutionary vision of Made in Japan: jeans and knits made from their own Japanese-grown cotton, tubular-knitted in Wakayama, and dyed with locally sourced chestnuts and soybeans, using techniques that date back hundreds of years.
Does the world need a chestnut-dyed T-shirt? Maybe not. But when idealism produces this kind of quality, does it really matter?
