A heartfelt thank you to all our FilCom members, especially to our amazing dancers who joined the Barrio Fiesta Dance Competition. Your dedication, time, energy, and passion made this experience truly special.

Our goal was simple — to showcase and celebrate our beautiful Filipino culture and traditions through dance. And you all did an incredible job representing our community with pride and joy.

Maraming salamat sa inyong lahat sa inyong dedication, commitment, at pagmamahal sa kulturang Pilipino. Every practice, every step, and every effort was worth it!

A special thank you to our Director/Choreographer Emil Nayad Zamora , for his hard work, patience, creativity, and dedication in bringing our performance together. We truly appreciate all your efforts!

And of course, special thanks to our ever-patient driver who safely drove us all the way from Ulm to Frankfurt and back. Thank you for taking care of us throughout the journey! Angelo Avelino

FILCOM at the Recent Bariofiesta 2026 in Frankfurt

We may not have taken home the win, but we are truly happy, honored, and grateful for the opportunity to showcase the rich culture and beautiful traditions of the Kalinga people through our dance and traditional costumes. ❤️

For FILCOM, it was never about winning the competition. It was about sharing our culture, celebrating our heritage, and representing the Kalinga community with pride and respect.

Wearing the Kalinga tribe costume and performing together gave us a wonderful opportunity to introduce and celebrate a part of our Filipino heritage with everyone.

A heartfelt thank you to the organizers of the Bariofiesta Jeff Iddoba Oya-oy to everyone who supported and encouraged us, and to all the participants who made the celebration such a memorable and meaningful event.

We danced with pride, we shared our culture, and most importantly, we celebrated together.

Our group may not always have the perfect timing or execute every step of a traditional dance perfectly, but what guides us is our greater purpose: unity and bayanihan. For us, it is not about being the best, but about coming together, sharing our culture, supporting one another, and proudly representing the Filipino spirit here in Germany.
