The good news is, you may not have to choose! On our last trip, riders spotted all of these species—and many more. Every photo featured here was taken by one of our guests.

The Brazilian Pantanal is one of the world’s largest tropical wetlands and one of South America’s greatest wildlife destinations. Its extraordinary biodiversity is shaped by an annual flood cycle, creating unique habitats for countless species. 🌿

Jaguars, giant anteaters, tapirs, capybaras, toucans and hyacinth macaws are just some of the animals regularly spotted by our guests—sometimes even from the hammocks at the lodges! 🦜✨

Join our riding adventure from 22–29 May 2027. Over seven days, we’ll ride through the Pantanal and stay in three different locations, each surrounded by its own distinct vegetation and wildlife. By then, the rains will have ended and temperatures are ideal for riding.

You want to holiday with non-riding family and friends? No-one needs to stay home alone! Non-riders can join you on several of our set date departures - or we can curate something especially for you. For example, the Andes of Ecuador is excellent for keeping sporty types, bird watchers and photographers very happy. Riders and non-riders split up after breakfast then enjoy swapping stories over dinner.
Our Pantanal safari itinerary is perfect for non-riding wildlife watchers.

“This was a fantastic trip into and around Cotopaxi National Park. Sally was careful, and considerate in matching horses with abilities, particularly with the range of experience within our group. It is very obvious that she cares for her horses very much.
