Ten years after launch, Timbeter is in use across 50 countries — from the Baltics through Central Europe, across Southern Africa and East Africa, through the UK, Canada, and the US, into Australia and Japan, and across a long stretch of Latin America from Mexico down to Argentina with an office in Brazil .

What holds across all of them is not the terrain or the regulation, but the underlying question: can this volume of timber be trusted, and can it be checked later.

Pre-harvest inventory across thousands of hectares leaves a lot of room for numbers to drift. Our representative Raúl Montero recently sat down with Facundo Barrionuevo at CMPC Bosques de Plata in Argentina to demo Timbeter Forest and show what field-level inventory data can look like when it's captured digitally from the start.

A truck pulls into the yard with a mixed load — sawlogs, pulpwood-grade material, and a few oversized logs that belong in a different category altogether. Someone has to sort that pile before it can be priced or shipped, and in most operations, that still happens by eye.

The problem: one person's cutoff for "big enough" isn't another's. The assortment split shifts depending on who's measuring that day — and since each diameter category carries a different price, that inconsistency adds up to real revenue in the wrong bucket.

Timbeter's diameter profiles solve this at the point of measurement. Define your own diameter bands — pulpwood, standard sawlog, premium — and every photo-based measurement sorts logs into them automatically. No manual re-checking. No dependence on whoever's on shift.

Irani, one of Brazil's leading paperboard and packaging producers, saw this directly: diameter-based scanning improved product separation enough that mixed loads could be properly split by category instead of processed as one undifferentiated batch.
