✈️ How to identify an aircraft's direction

What you see What it means!

🔴 Red + 🟢 Green
Aircraft is generally approaching you / facing you.
🟢 Green only
You are seeing the aircraft's right (starboard) side.
🔴 Red only
You are seeing the aircraft's left (port) side.
⚪ White
You are generally seeing the rear/tail.

🔴 + 🟢 + ⚪
You may be seeing the aircraft from an angle where multiple lights are visible
