Prevented Shutdown, Extended Pipeline Life!
Severe corrosion scabs from Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) threatened a vital crude oil pipeline. Blasting was initially not allowed, and shutdown was not an option. Pre-fabricated plates were bonded over the defects, enabling safe blasting.
Belzona SuperWrap II was then applied, following a specific method statement and design, securing the pipeline for 10 more years and avoiding an unexpected shutdown
