Yes, Egypt has entered the race, with the hope of its youth and their promising ambition. Maybe Space Invasion appeared to be just a dream, or a field that comprises only certain countries. However, at SSTLab the dream is coming true ...
SSTLab is not only a research facility managed by students, but it is a core for a complete space program as well, and a center that exports qualified experts in this field able to continue building this establishment. Since it has started, SSTLab won local prizes in Egyptian Engineering Day (EED) and American University in Cairo (AUC), and participated in international conferences in Turkey, Iran and Japan ... and more still to come ...

نعم ، لقد دخلت مصر السباق ، وبكل آمال شبابها وطموحاتهم الواعدة ، ربما بدا غزو الفضاء حلما ، أو مجالا لا يضم إلا دولا بعينها ، إلا أنه في معمل الفضاء قد أصبح الحلم حقيقة ..
هذا المعمل ليس فقط مؤسسة بحثية يديرها الطلبة ، وإنما هو نواة لبرنامج فضاء متكامل ، ومركز لتخريج الكفاءات الملمة بهذا المجال ، والقادرة على استكمال بناء هذا الصرح ..
ومنذ انطلاقته حاز المعمل جوائز محلية في يوم الهندسة المصري والجامعة الأمريكية ، وشارك في مؤتمرات دولية في تركيا واليابان ، ولا يزال العطاء مستمرا ..

SSTL instructors have already supported our participants through hands-on SolidWorks sessions, covering 2D Sketching, 3D Modeling, and Assembly. ⚙️💻
And the support doesn’t stop there! 🔥
As we get closer to the competition, they’ll be reviewing the teams’ designs, providing feedback, and sharing valuable mechanical design tips to help teams refine and improve their robots before Competition Day. 🤖✨

This year, for its second season, the Rovers Rumble Race (RRR) returns, bringing together some of the brightest engineering minds 🚀
Team "WALL-E" stood out by solving a major challenge: achieving precise, autonomous control of their rover’s robotic arm. Using inverse kinematics, they translated target coordinates into accurate joint movements, while overcoming mechanical design challenges to ensure smooth performance ✨
